Interim bail and temporary protection
Interim bail is temporary relief that may be considered in appropriate circumstances. Its availability, duration and conditions depend on the case, the substantive proceeding and the court order.
When an interim request may arise
An interim request may arise while a bail application is pending, during consideration of an urgent criminal proceeding, or in another situation where temporary protection is legally maintainable. It should not be treated as automatic relief.
Preparation
Relevant orders, FIR/complaint, case status and the reason for seeking temporary relief should be reviewed before filing.
